While there are a ton of different hidden collectibles and quests for you to complete in Hogwarts Legacy, the three secrets of the school are another challenge entirely. One of these secrets includes four locked rooms in the Clock Tower, which you can open by completing a puzzle. What does this entail, though? How do you solve this puzzle? That’s what we’re here to explore today. How to Solve the Clock Tower Puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy
You’ll see a large, swinging pendulum when you enter the Clock Tower Courtyard in the South Wing. Above this pendulum are four circular symbols, each symbolizing one of the four doors you must unlock. This leaves two main questions: where are all four doors you have to open, and how do you use the symbols to open them?
When you look at the pendulum, you may notice a circle in its center that aligns with the symbols. To unlock each door, you’ll have to freeze the pendulum using Glacius or Arresto Momentum so that this circle stops in front. You must also repeat this for every circle to open all four doors.

All Four Clock Tower Door Locations
The entrances that unlock from this puzzle all have the same appearance: a small wooden door with a thick white frame. As you explore the area, you’ll find these scattered around, housing hidden chests and other collectibles for you to see. Below is the location of each locked door in the Clock Tower, starting with the leftmost symbol:
- Door One: Beginning from the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame, turn right and walk toward the door at the end of the platform.
- Door Two: Starting from the room above, leave it and turn left before entering the room directly in front of you. Ascend the staircase, and once you reach the top, go left to the end of the wooden platform. The door is on your left!
- Door Three: From the second room, leave it and head back the way you came. Enter the first door on your right and go up the stairwell. Go right along the wooden platform, down the stairs and enter the nearby door.
- Door Four: Backtrack from the third room until you go up the stairs and in front of the first door you see. Go up the stairs and, rather than reaching the top, enter the door that appears about halfway up. You’ll immediately find a second door to enter as you approach this room, marking the fourth and final locked area.
Once you walk into this final room, you’ll officially solve this Clock Tower puzzle, gaining progress toward the Hogwarts secrets challenge!
