The end may be nigh, and Mara Sov is doing everything in her power to stop it. And part of that is granting you, the Guardian, access to the Awoken Favor. This Favor is something that was once given only to Mar Sov’s Queensguard. And now she grants it to us. Here’s how to get Awoken Favors in Destiny 2.
How to Get Awoken Favors in Destiny 2
When you play a Defiant Battleground, there are a handful of upgrades you can purchase at the War Table in the H.E.L.M. that will make the experience a little easier. Chief among these is the Exemplar Upgrades, which grant Awoken Favor if you 1) Purchase the upgrade and 2) Fulfill a set action while playing the Battleground.
Each requires you to finish an enemy in a certain way. If you do so correctly, there’s a chance a boon will drop to the floor. This boon is very hard to miss. It’s white and has spirals. Touch it, and you’ll then gain a buff that will benefit not just you, but your entire fire team.
Here are the three Exemplars and the buffs they give:
- Exemplar of Grace – Ability Final Blows have a chance to create a Favor that improves melee ability recharge.
- Exemplar of Justice – Final blows with Special Ammo have a chance to create a Favor that improves mobility for a brief period of time.
- Exemplar of Zeal – Final blows with Heavy ammo have a chance to create a Favor that improves grenade ability recharge.
I find that Exemplar of Zeal is the most beneficial, but Exemplar of Grace is the easiest way to farm Awoken Favors. Either way, if you want the Queensguard Seal, you’ll need to farm all three.
