A few weeks ago, I penned a love letter to the Two-Tailed Fox. It’s one of my favorite rocket launchers, not only because it’s adorable but because with the arrival of Lightfall it’s received some much needed buffs. And now? It’s even got a catalyst. Here’s how to get the Two-Tailed Fox Catalyst in Destiny 2.
How to Get the Two-Tailed Fox Catalyst in Destiny 2
Season 20 has arrived and with it has come a whole host of new guns and modifications for pre-existing weapons. Now is a good time to go through your Vault and check out some old favorites, including the Two-Tailed Fox.
The Two-Tailed Fox is an Exotic Void Heavy Rocket Launcher with a unique ability. It shoots two rockets, one Void and one Solar, that can track the same target. The Void rocket applies the suppression debuff, and the Solar rocket causes burn, which deals damage over time.

The tracking aspect has made it an excellent rocket launcher in PvP scenarios, but hasn’t been enough to make it viable. After all, most Guardians will opt for a kinetic Exotic or a heavy one in Crucible or Trials. But the Catalyst might make you think twice.
With the Catalyst, Two-Tailed fox gains Third-Tail, an additional Arc rocket that joins the second volley. The Arc rocket jolts targets.
Now, we just need a Stasis and Strand tail to complete the collection. But if you want to add this new Catalyst to your Two-Tailed Fox, you’re going to have to run a lot of playlist activities. The Catalyst has a chance to drop at the completion of these activities at the end screen, but finding it is quite rare.
Once you do have the Catalyst, you’ll need to get 350 kills to Masterwork it. But doesn’t Two-Tail Fox deserve it?
