Diablo IV is one of the most anticipated games of this year, with the recently announced release date and two beta test weekends, many fans are getting seriously hyped up for the sequel to Blizzard’s cult hack-and-slash RPG. However, after the relative success of last year’s mobile spinoff game Diablo Immortal, many are also wondering if the new mainline sequel will get its own version for phones and tablets in addition to consoles and PCs. Well, let’s find out.

Is Diablo 4 Coming to Mobile Devices?
So, will Diablo IV get a mobile version for iOS and Android devices? The answer, for now, is a resounding – NO. In June last year, Adam Fletcher Activision Blizzard’s Diablo Community Manager said that “Diablo 4 is built strictly for PC/console audiences”
Blizzard executives have been known to change their views in the past. Diablo Immortal was not planned for PC, according to the infamous answer given at Blizzcon 2018, where the “you guys all have phones” meme was born – and we all know how that turned out a few years later. However, with the emphasis on a larger open-world setting and more complicated gameplay, it is probable that Diablo IV will remain only on PC and consoles, with no mobile edition, but only time will tell.

Also, it seems the Nintendo Switch will not be getting Diablo IV for now either. The popular portable system handled Diablo III and Diablo II Resurrected without any issues, but could it be that Diablo IV was too demanding for dated Nintendo hardware? Even if that is the case, there is no question that the newest, most powerful Apple and Android flagship phones could handle Diablo IV.
Diablo IV is currently in a beta phase, and the full game will be released on June 6 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X, and Xbox One. For more tips, tricks, and guides for the game, click on the “Diablo IV” tag below.
