Activision has unveiled Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 ahead of the official release date and we know which weapons we can expect for the next content drop, including the Intervention. This time there seems to be a mix of ranged rifles and sidearms that players can test in some fresh loadouts.
There will be different release dates for the set of weapons, with some dropping with the mid-season update rather than the initial launch. In our COD MW2 and Warzone 2 guide, we’ll outline all of the weapons coming out and when you can expect to see them in the game.
COD MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 – Every New Weapon
So far, we have two weapon confirmations, one vague teaser, and a fourth weapon that remains to be shown at all. At the very least, the latest Call of Duty Blog post confirmed that the two vague weapons will be sidearms with fully automatic capability. Below you can find all the current information on upcoming weapons.
List of Weapons in COD MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 3:
- FJX Imperium – This is a brand new sniper and it was the first weapon revealed. Many players will likely recognize the weapon as the Intervention from the original Modern Warfare 2. Part of the free Battle Pass tiers.
- Cronen Squall – The squall will be a Battle Rifle with a bullpup design. It will be based on high damage and ranged gunfights. Another free weapon in the Battle Pass.
- Sidearm One – Players can expect the first sidearm to appear in the mid-season update. Based on the roadmap, it looks like the Tec-9, but the name will be different on release.
- Sidearm Two – Another fully automatic sidearm, not much else is known about this COD MW2 Season 3 addition. More details will likely come out around May.
