April’s a pretty good month for horror. Xbox fans have gotten Ghostwire: Tokyo on Game Pass, Dead Island 2 is coming out across most platforms, and now there’s a well-reviewed survival horror game that you can grab for free. Here’s how to get The Beast Inside for Free.
How to Get The Beast Inside for Free
In 2019, The Beast Inside hit major consoles and Steam, showcasing a dual timeline survival horror game. On Steam, The Beast Inside received a number of very positive reviews, which highlighted the narrative, puzzles, and force-based interactions. And while there were certainly critiques (clunky controls, perhaps too many jump scares early on), The Beast Inside seems like a great way to spend a lazy weekend.
But if you want to get a copy of your own for free, you’re going to need Amazon Prime.
Yep, this deal is part of Prime Gaming, and The Beast Inside is one of the twelve free games available. To claim it, head over to this link.
You can then opt to “Claim” the game. You’ll be taken to a screen with a code. Copy this code and paste it some place safe. If you lose it, it’s okay. You can always come back to the link above to get the code again.

You’ll then need to go to GOG.com and make an account. Once your account is made, you’ll see in the top black bar links that read “STORE” and “MORE”. Besides “MORE”, you’ll see a pink bubble that represents your profile. Hover over this bubble and you’ll get a drop-down menu.
From this drop-down menu, select “Redeem code”. Enter the code you received on the Prime Gaming page into this box.
You’ll then be able to redeem The Beast Inside… but you won’t get the download button yet. Next, you’ll need to press the green button that says “Go to my account”.
From here, you’ll be able to see all your GOG games, including The Beast Inside. Select The Beast Inside and you’ll get the option to Download and Install Now.
You only have until May 20 to download the game, so don’t wait too long.
