Since 2021, information about Ubisoft’s XDefiant has circulated, increasing its hype as a new and exciting first-person shooter. With its availability on multiple platforms, PC and consoles alike, you can play it with keyboard/mouse or controller, depending on your preferences. In classic multiplayer fashion, you’ll fight alongside and against other players to claim victory during your matches. Does XDefiant Have Cross-Play?
Looking at XDefiant for a moment, it is a multiplayer game where you spawn in, shoot enemies, rinse and repeat. It is what you would expect from a fast-paced arena shooter. If you’re on PC playing with keyboard and mouse, what are the odds you’ll be in a game with others on PS or Xbox?
Simply put, pretty high. That’s right; XDefiant has cross-play. We can even look back at the Cross-Play Insider Session announcement from February that allowed players on PC, PS5 and Xbox X|S to play alongside each other. Since then, this trend has continued during the Closed Beta and other events, with everyone able to join the fun on their chosen platform. Fortunately, you can rest assured that you and your friends can play together regardless of your device.

Another important question is whether you’ll keep your progress if you switch from PC to console or vice versa. In short, yes, XDefiant also features cross-progression, allowing you to easily swap to another platform without worrying about any stat wipes or losing your items. That way, if you decide to play on the same device as a friend or want to try something new, you can do so without worrying about losing anything.
