How to Solve the Abacus Circuitry Puzzle in Honkai: Star Rail
The Abacus Circuitry puzzle is one you’ll first encounter during the main story quest “Venom Brews, Immortality Looms”. The main idea is to bring an “S” computing module from one side of a panel to the other. What makes this challenging is that you have to rotate the hexes and maneuver around the board.
Below is a step-by-step guide to solving the Abacus Circuitry puzzle during this mission:
- Select the green computing module below the “S”.
- Rotate the “S” clockwise twice until it is in range of the bottom green hex.
- Click the bottom green hex and rotate the “S” until it hits the bottom S computing module.
Once it reaches the bottom, you’ll complete the puzzle, allowing you to progress through the rest of the mission!

Unlocking the Side Entrance With Qingque’s Hints
As you progress further in the story, you’ll spot this puzzle again with slightly different layouts. They can appear in all kinds of patterns and shapes, with one example being the diagonal layout during the Omniscient Inquiry of Arcana quest. However, you can use a similar strategy to turn the “S” module in range of other green hexes, allowing you to rotate it toward the end spot.
With that said, below describes exactly how you can do this:
- Select the middle green “S” module.
- Rotate the outer “S” hex twice until it is in range of the empty green module.
- Select the bottom green hex and rotate the “S” clockwise until it reaches the center.
Like before, finishing this puzzle allows you to meet up with Qingque and Fu Xuan and progress through the rest of the main story! That way, you can get one step closer to reaching Equilibrium level 3 in Honkai: Star Rail and flying through every enemy you face.
