As Guardians of the Tower, we are used to loss. It is the natural flow of life and death, and the consequence of being at eternal war with the Darkness. But losing Archie might have been the biggest blow at the end of the Season of the Seraph. Yes, even bigger than Rasputin, sacrificing himself to save all of humanity. Rasputin did not let me pet him. But with Season of the Deep on the horizon, will Archie the Dog be Returning to Destiny 2?
Is Archie the Dog Returning to Destiny 2 – Answered
Getting Archie the dog was no small feat in Destiny 2. It required meticulously collecting 50 drones scattered across the universe, gaining security clearance, and then navigating a confusing maze in the bowels of Seraph Station.
But all of it was worth it, because at the end of the maze was a dog who was more than happy to come home with us.
Unfortunately, Archie’s time in the H.E.L.M. was short-lived, as he vanished with the arrival of Season of Defiance. But do not worry! Archie the Dog will be returning to Destiny 2!

In the latest This Week at Bungie, it has been revealed that Archie has found a permanent home in the Tower. On top of that, the Good Boy Protocol stat, which tracks how many times you have petted your pup, will be re-instated. If you spent a significant amount of time petting Archie last season and you are worried about your loss progress, do not be!
All those pets will still be recorded, and you will be able to flex it on all those negligent dog owners who have petted their version of Archie less.
That is not the only big thing coming down the pipeline in the Season of the Deep. If you want to know all the changes happening in Trials of Osiris, check out our article here: All Changes Coming to Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2’s Season of the Deep.
