There is no shortage of minerals in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but few are so rare and useful as Luminous Stones. Unfortunately, these iridescent minerals aren’t easy to find. But we know the location of one of the best Luminous Stone hot spots in the game. Here’s how to find Luminous Stones in Tears of the Kingdom.

Topazes, Sapphires, and Diamonds, oh my. Each of these minerals can be sold at a high price or used to give your weapon an elemental or physical advantage. But the Luminous Stone is coveted not for its combative capabilities. Rather, Luminous Stones can be used to purchase dyes, trade for diamonds, or feed Dondons. And of course, you can sell them, with 10 Luminous Stones netting you 700 rupees.
Whatever purpose you opt to use it for, you’ll want as many of them as possible. And to do that, we want to get to the stone-heavy North Necluda Sky Archipelago. To get here, use the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower in between Lanayru and Necluda in the far bottom right of the map. Once you’re in the sky, you’ll see the Sky Archipelago to your side. Fly towards it and use one of the stone pillars to help you make the distance if you don’t have the Glide Armor.

Once you’re on the central island, you’ll see there’s a stone mechanism that will sling shot you into the air. Beside it is a wheel which you can turn with Ultrahand. Turn the wheel to make the slingshot contraption turn right. It won’t be perfectly on the island, but it’ll suit our purposes just fine.
Stand in front of the mechanism and it will fling you up, allowing you to glide to the island that is absolutely full of ore. And on the other side is a chest with a Sage’s Will. On this island alone, I got 11 Luminous Stones and three Amber. Not a bad haul! Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until the next Blood Moon for the ore to respawn, but you can do that by just afk’ing and letting the in-game days pass.
