Azurewrath is one of the fresh Unique items that players can start collecting in Season 1 of Diablo 4, and as always, getting your hands on this sword won’t be easy. To help you get a head start though, I’ll outline how you can get the sword and the best methods to increase your chances of the item dropping. Here’s how to get the Azurewrath Unique in Diablo 4.
Where to Find the Azurewrath in Diablo 4
You can get the Azurewrath sword by completing Nightmare Dungeons, opening Helltide Chests, and taking down World Bosses for weekly rewards. I personally like to complete Nightmare Dungeons for the best chance of a Unique item drop, and the XP gained while farming them makes the trail worthwhile.
As a Unique item, Azurewrath can technically drop from nearly any activity. Killing monsters all over Sanctuary or opening small chests will have the tiniest chance of giving you the sword you’re looking for. However, those chances are low, and your time is best spent on the most lucrative activities. After a couple of patches, both Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons have more Unique loot than ever.
Azurewrath Effect in Diablo 4
The Azurewrath is a Unique sword that is based on freezing your enemies. Any of your Core Skills have up to a 20% chance to Freeze enemies for 3 seconds and deal 0.75-1.5 Cold damage, but for the freeze to happen, you need a lucky hit. This is fantastic for anyone that wants to maximize their crowd control.

As for which classes can use the Azurewrath in Diablo 4 Season 1, only the Barbarians can start swinging the sword around. Each class has its own fresh Unique in Season 1, so if you don’t fit the mold then look for what your class has instead.
