Knowing how to balance your stats in Armored Core 6 is integral to making sure you have the best AC possible, and nothing is more central to that balancing act than the EN Load stat. All the parts on your core will center around this stat, and you have probably seen the bar moving up and down, so I’m here to explain exactly how it works before you jump into more missions.
What is EN Load in Armored Core 6?
EN Load is the total energy input that your AC can handle in Armored Core 6. Every part in the game will require a certain amount of energy, and if it surpasses the EN Load on your core, then you won’t be able to use it. In other words, this is essentially the mech version of the fat roll from Dark Souls, with more complications.
When you equip a part that surpasses your EN Load, there will be a red warning called an EN Shortfall. You can either change the part, swap out other parts that consume less energy, or get a better generator. Either way, there is a sacrifice to nearly every part you use in Armored Core 6, and that’s part of the gameplay loop.

On top of the EN Load, you will see a Current Load as well. This refers to the weight of the parts because energy wasn’t enough. While energy is more important, the Current Load is actually closer to the fat roll. However, you can’t roll into combat missions with shortfalls on your AC.
How to Increase EN Load in Armored Core 6 (AC6)
The best way to increase your EN Load is to purchase a better Generator part for your AC. Generators are what determine how much energy you can utilize and how fast that energy can recharge in combat. Like everything else in the game, there is a give-and-take for each Generator you select.
When you look at your stats, just watch where the main white line is on the stat bars to determine what your maximum energy is. If the part goes beyond that line, then it’s time to start experimenting with other parts.
