Where to Find Zero Wire in Starfield

There are two ways to get Zero Wire in Starfield:

  • Purchase from vendors
  • Craft some at an Industrial Workbench

If you want to get some Zero Wire quickly and are okay with spending some money, you can find some at general stores like Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis. Once you get to the shop, enter the resource section and scroll to the bottom until you see it. If it isn’t there, wait outside on a bench for 24 in-game hours to randomize the stock options and quantities.

Another option for obtaining Zero Wire is to craft some at an Industrial Workbench using copper and silver. I usually use the Lodge Basement’s workbench, but any will work. If you’re low on copper or silver, visit planets with these as available resources and harvest them until you get at least one of each.

What Is Zero Wire Used for in Starfield?

Zero Wire is a common manufactured component used to craft mods and complete research projects. You’ll encounter it repeatedly as you explore more recipes and projects, especially if you plan on investing in robots, Outpost defenses, and weapon mod research. Don’t be surprised if you use dozens or even hundreds of wires the farther you progress into the game!
