Kamikati is a small region that brings its festivities and culture to the forefront. And that’s best represented in its own version of a ghost-drink Pokemon, Poltchageist! Inspired by the tools that go into making matcha, Poltchageist can have both a counterfeit and authentic form. But only counterfeits can evolve with the Unremarkable Teacup. Here’s how to find the Unremarkable Teacup in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Find the Unremarkable Teacup in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
But if you don’t care if your Poltchageist is counterfeit or authentic, the Unremarkable Cup is the way to go. And the Unremarkable Cup in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is exceptionally easy to find. You just need to go to the Paradise Barrens in the very top left corner of the map.
In Paradise Barrens, you can find the Unremarkable Teacup in the cave exactly opposite to the folklore sign.
This is the folklore sign that you interacted with during the orientation tutorial you took with Kieran. Likewise, if you have a fast travel point, you’ll be almost immediately in front of the cave.
Go inside, and the Unremarkable Teacup will be waiting for you. Once you’ve collected it, you need to go into your inventory. Then, into the ‘Other’ submenu. From here, you can select Unremarkable Teacup and use it on a counterfeit Poltchageist to evolve it into Sinistcha.
If your Poltchageist won’t evolve with the Unremarkable Teacup, there’s a good chance that it’s actually an authentic Poltchageist! In that case, you’ll need a Masterpiece Teacup.
Did you spend hours looking for an authentic Sinistea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s main game? Did you eventually get fed up with it and evolved it using a Cracked Pot? I respect that.
