Jagex has today released a new player survey intended to gather feedback on how players are generally feeling about the state of the game and its’ content in general.
This comes off the back of the ill-received implementation and removal of Hero Pass and a Halloween event that felt predatory despite the company stating that they would learn from the universally disliked microtransaction-heavy feature.
“We’re always keen to hear your feedback, and regular surveys help us to gauge how the community is feeling – and where we should be headed next.”
Jagex, October 30, 2023
The latest survey dives deeper into individual players’ demographics, as well as how long they’ve played RuneScape overall and their total level. It then asks questions regarding RuneScape content players are familiar with. As well as what should be Jagex’s priority when it comes to RuneScape, and yes, building back the trust of the player base is included.
The survey states that it takes roughly 15 minutes to complete. Whether or not it will take you this long entirely depends on what you want to include. Most of the questions are multiple-choice, but there are a few questions that have boxes that allow you to input your thoughts. The survey asks you to input your in-game name, too, but again, that is optional, and if you do not wish to attach your account to your angry responses, you do not have to do so!
The survey is live as of today, and it will run until Sunday, November 5th at 11:59 PM BST. You can access the survey here. That gives players a brief period to get their answers in. It’s something that one should consider doing, especially if you’re upset with the current trajectory of RuneScape. Who knows if there will be significant changes post-survey, but all the player base can do is try.
