Every year, Call of Duty has a mastery camo grind for players to chase in Multiplayer, and there happens to be four different grinds in Modern Warfare 3. I have the full list of camos that you can expect for the completionist grind when MW3 goes live.
All Mastery Camos in MW3 Listed
There are four Mastery Camo grinds in Modern Warfare 3 that are divided between weapons and modes. Both MW2 and MW3 weapons will have a Multiplayer and a Zombies set of challenges. In total, that leads to 16 different camos to unlock across the board that are under the completionist umbrella.
Modern Warfare 3 Mastery Camos:
- Modern Warfare 2 (Multiplayer):
- Gold
- Platinum
- Polyatomic
- Orion
- Modern Warfare 2 (Zombies):
- Golden Ivory
- Spinel Husk
- Arachnida
- Bioluminescent
- Modern Warfare 3 (Multiplayer):
- Gilded
- Forged
- Priceless
- Interstellar
- Modern Warfare 3 (Zombies)
- Golden Enigma
- Zircon Scale
- Serpentinite
- Borelis
When MW3 launches, there will be around 900 different camos in the game across all the weapons and modes. Nearly every camo will be usable on every single weapon in the game, regardless of the MW title it comes from. However, the completionist camos are locked to one set of weapons. So Orion is still for MW2 weapons only, and the Borelis camo is for Modern Warfare 3 alone.
Some other great news is that the Modern Warfare 2 camo grind will be limited to around 32 guns. After a full year of content in MW2, the weapon roster rose to about 77 across the board. To get the new Bioluminescent camo, the 32 is all you need, so make sure to start grinding weapons that you want to use.
This year, the camo challenges will also be much more “weapon type” specific. So don’t expect to have to grind long shots on every single class when you reach the second stage of mastery camos.
