Anyone that loves quick sniper rifles is going to love the Longbow in Modern Warfare 3, even if some hitmarkers can be a problem. To help you make the weapon as fast as possible, I have a fantastic loadout guide that highlights the best points of the weapon.
Best Loadout and Attachments for the Longbow in MW3
- Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
- Rear Grip: Nought-Z3 Grip
- Bolt: SA-M Quickbolt
- Stock: No Stock
- Magazine: 10 Round Mag
Nearly every attachment for this build provides mobility and ADS speed for this sniper. The only attachment that doesn’t is the quickbolt, and that’s because we want a faster fire rate in at least one area. A barrel would be another opportunity for more ADS speed, but the Longbow already struggles enough with some damage range.
Best Perks and Equipment for the Longbow in MW3
- Vest: Infantry Vest
- Gloves: Assault Gloves
- Boots: Covert Sneakers
- Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
- Tactical: Stim
- Lethal: Frag Grenade or Semtex
- Field Equipment: Trophy System
- Sidearm: COR-45
Ghost and Covert Sneakers are two perks that are good with nearly every class in the game. In modes like Search and Destroy, you can opt for the EOD option instead of running with the Ghost perk. Everything else on the list is fairly standard fair. Stims are a lifesaver in respawn and they can also be swapped if you want Flashes instead.
How to Unlock the Longbow in Modern Warfare 3
You need to complete daily challenges in the Armory to unlock the Longbow after level 25 in MW3. You can also extract the sniper from the Zombies mode, but it can take some extra luck without friends helping out. In Multiplayer, just make sure to have the sniper active in the Armory and then complete the Daily Challenges on your bar.
With the sniper in hand, make sure you know the longshot distances in Modern Warfare 3.
