If you want to fill your Paldeck in Palworld, breeding is a great way to discover new Pals you otherwise wouldn’t encounter. Here’s how to use a breeding calculator to make the process easier.
How to Use a Palworld Breeding Calculator
A Palworld breeding calculator is a tool you can use to check what Pal egg you’ll get by combining two specific Pals. By selecting two parents, you’ll find the resulting Pal, indicating what you’ll get if you toss the two parents into your in-game pen and wait for them to hatch an egg.
For this guide, we’ll use Palworld.gg‘s calculator tool.

When I tested the calculator tool myself, I took two Pals, Lamball and Chikipi, to see my result. I got Mau, so I went in-game to check for myself.
Upon logging in, going to the breeding pen, and tossing a Lamball, Chikipi, and cake into their respective areas, I waited for the process to unfold before they laid their egg. A dark egg appeared, and a newly formed Mau Pal emerged after incubating it for ten minutes.
How to Breed Pals in Palworld
Breeding Pals requires building a breeding farm, which you unlock after reaching level 19 and unlocking its respective technology node, and some cake. From here, you need the following resources to build the farm:
- Wood (100)
- Stone (20)
- Fiber (50)
Once you have the items, make the breeding farm and place two Pals of opposite genders inside. After you place some cake inside the pen’s storage box, the Pals will get to know each other, and after some time, an egg will emerge for you to use in an Egg Incubator.
How to Make Cake in Palworld
Making a cake in Palworld requires building a cooking pot and collecting the following ingredients:
- Flour (5)
- Red Berries (8)
- Milk (7)
- Egg (8)
- Honey (2)
If you need a cooking pot, level up your character until you reach 17 before unlocking the structure’s technology node.
Once you have your cooking pot, gather all five resources through farming, catching Pals, and purchasing from Wandering Merchants before tossing them into the pot and baking it for a few minutes. After finishing the cake, use it in the storage bin next to the breeding farm to initiate breeding between two Pals.
How to Find Pal Fusions Using the Palworld Breeding Calculator
Likewise, if you’re trying to get an exact Pal Fusion, particularly ones you only get from breeding, this calculator will help you there, too. By adding Pals into the parent boxes and checking their result, you can look through potential combinations until you find the Pal you’re looking for.
While many are available in the wild, hatching an egg can save you hours, especially if the Pal is in an area you have yet to visit.
