Managing your Inventory Capacity in Lightyear Frontier will be crucial at every stage. Even though your mech can carry a lot of resources, there’s a certain limit on the total weight of items you can carry at a given time. Here’s how to increase your inventory capacity in Lightyear Frontier.
How to Upgrade Inventory Capacity in Lightyear Frontier
By default, your mech has a carrying capacity of 60, and once you go above the point, you get an encumbered warning on your screen. There are three levels of upgrades that will allow your mech to carry more weight.
Inventory Capacity 1 Upgrade
The first upgrade increases the carrying capacity from 60 to 90. Here are the requirements:
- 5 Aluminum Electronics (Create at the Assembler Machine with Aluminum Rods and Copper Wire).
Before you can access Inventory Capacity 2 and 3 Upgrade, make sure to upgrade the Vacuum Harvester.
Inventory Capacity 2 Upgrade
The second upgrade requires 5 Batteries. Here’s the requirement of a single Battery:
- 2x Copper Ore
- 3x Zappertwig
The Battery can also be constructed at an Assembler.
Inventory Capacity 3 Upgrade
The third upgrade requires 5 Batteries and 5 Fractalite Bars. Here are the requirements for making Fractalite Bars
- Use Fractalite Ore at a Furnace
Do note that to get Fractalite Ore and make a Furnace, your Vacuum Harvester needs to be at an upgraded level, and the Spike Saw must also have its highest upgrade module to get Fractalite Ore. Hence, getting to the third level of carrying capacity upgrade could take you some time.
Aside from increasing the Inventory Capacity in Lighyear Frontier, you can always utilize the space around a Small Tent to build stuff like Boxes which can also be used to store different resources. You can manually transfer various resources to these boxes to reduce the amount of stuff being carried by your mech.
