This guide goes over how to get Sparklestone (and what it’s used for) in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
How to Get Sparklestone in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Sparklestone may drop from Red Wyvern and Phantombird in the second zone of the Dappled Forest in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. It cannot be obtained from gathering points or guild missions.
The Dappled Forest is near your HQ. The second zone unlocks when you first reach Hishahn in the story. Red Wyvern and Phantombird can only be found here, and they may appear in battle together.
Both Red Wyvern and Phantombird are weak to piercing attacks.
Use the Lucky Badge to Increase Your Drop Rate
Sparklestone has around a 5% chance to drop from either of the enemies. To increase your chance of obtaining one, you should equip a Lucky Badge (or Super Lucky Badge) onto one of your party units. Lucky Badge increases the drop rate by 10%, and Super Lucky Badge increases it by 50%. These effects do stack, so you can equip both for a 60% increase.
You can find the Lucky Badge in the Seaside Cavern near Hishahn. The Super Lucky Badge can be found in the Runebarrows as part of CJ’s recruitment quest near the midway point of the game. The Lucky Badge is your best option when farming for Sparklestone early, simply because you can obtain it much earlier. You’ll also want to get and keep at least one Sparklestone as early as possible to use it to recruit another character.
What Sparklestone is Used For in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Sparklestone has two main uses in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes: the first is to sell for money. As an accessory, it only increases your physical defense by 1 point. The item’s description even emphasizes how it’s worth selling rather than using. You can sell Sparklestone for 1500 baqua each, making it a good source of money early on in the game.
The second use for Sparklestone is to recruit Squash the accessory seller. Squash is initially located in the Treefolk Village, and will only join you if you bring him a Sparklestone. You do not want to wait until you have the Super Lucky Badge before getting your accessory seller, so head to the Seaside Cavern to pick up the regular Lucky Badge, battle Red Wyvern and Phantombird until you get a Sparklestone, and bring one to Squash to recruit him.
After you’ve stocked up on Sparklestones, you may want to turn your attention to gathering another helpful item: Excellent Lacquer.
