With the first DLC set to release in January, Activision and Sledgehammer Games released a new trailer that provides new info about the Resistance DLC, as well as offers a behind the scenes look at why the development team chose the new locations for each map.
You can check out the trailer in the video above, where you’ll learn more about the three new maps coming to COD: WWII’s multiplayer. You’ll also learn more about the new War MP map that’s being released with the DLC, and even some new info about the next chapter of the new Nazi Zombies—which originally kicked off with the release of COD:WWII earlier this year.
It’s easy to understand why the developers and the fans would be excited about the upcoming DLC, as going back to World War II was a great step for the series, and really took the community and fans back to the series’ roots. The new maps will transport players to Nazi-ridden areas of the war, where the resistance is hard at work fighting to take back their homeland.
Alongside this, the new War MP map and mode, Operation Intercept, will place soldiers front and center as they fight alongside the French Forces of the Interior to rescue resistance fighters, recapture radio towers that have been lost to the enemy, and more. And, finally, the next chapter of the Nazi Zombies story will take players to the Darkest Shore, where they’ll find themselves stranded on an island overflowing with the undead as they fight to survive the fog that covers the land.
The Resistance DLC will release to PS4 owners on January 30 of 2018. There’s currently no information available about when the DLC will arrive on PC or Xbox One, but we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on new information as it becomes available.
