The developers at Warhorse Studios have been working hard to roll out patch 1.0.3 for their medieval RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One received massive patch updates today, just two days after the game’s launch. Earlier this week, Warhorse creative director Daniel Vávra took to Twitter to announce the forthcoming console patches for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, prior to the game’s launch.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance players on PS4 will need to make room for the huge 16 GB patch that rolled out today. Between the patch 1.0.3 update and the base game, players are looking at a whopping 39 GB download for Kingdom Come on PS4.
Patch 1.0.3 passed certification process and is distributed on PS4 now. Xbox still in progress.

Will Powers, senior manager of marketing and PR at Deep Silver, offered some insight on ResetEra as to why the patches are so large, explaining the process as essentially having to “redownload the game to replace the existing files”. It seems that players should expect a pretty hefty download size for every patch going forward.
According to Vávra, Steam already has the latest patch, and a patch for Xbox One should be on its way. He also goes on to say that the next patch will fix various quest bugs and frame rate drops, and that players should expect the upcoming patch to arrive in roughly two weeks.
At the time of this writing, Warhorse has not released any official patch notes for Kingdom Come: Deliverance patch 1.0.3, but the PS4 changelog gives some idea of what to expect in the update. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the changelog states that Kingdom Come patch 1.0.3 adjusts the stealth mechanic and fixes various quest bugs. Players will now get dirty more gradually as well, which should make it a bit easier to keep your clothes clean in Kingdom Come.
