How to Increase your FPS in Blackout

Blackout is extremely competitive, so making sure you have the edge is going to be important if you hope to survive until the end of the round and bring home the trophy. Of course, there are some things you can do to increase that edge, like making sure your FPS is stable and doesn’t run into any hitches along the way.

Your best bet for increasing your FPS is to make sure you have your settings managed in-game. While this might seem like an over-simplified answer, many players will go into Blackout with the settings completely maxed out. While it is nice to have the prettiest game, having things set to max will not only hinder your competitive edge, but it can also create some issues with your FPS not being completely stabilized.

In order to make sure you have the smoothest experience in Blackout, try lowering your in-game settings. Settings like Shadows and Textures are some of the most intensive at times, so lowering them will give you better performance overall. We do suggest keeping your Shadows turned up to at least Medium, though, as this setting can change how quickly you see enemies coming around corners quite drastically.

Finding the perfect in-game settings isn’t going to be easy as each hardware configuration can drastically change the settings that you need to run. Toy around with the settings, turning things up and down, until you find the perfect blend. Once your FPS is stable, you can start working your way up the leaderboard as you try to be the last person standing.
