Grand Theft Auto 6 talk is nothing new and with the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, the rumors surrounding the future of the GTA franchise have only gotten more common. From anonymous leaks on social media, to murmurs from alleged devs, the rumor mill is very active with this particular franchise. Added to that growing pile is a leak from a former Rockstar employee when his resume was made public due to watchful eyes.
Bibin Michael, a former 3D artist that worked previously on Grand Theft Auto 5 and the recently released Red Dead Redemption 2, updated his online resume over on ArtStation to reveal his work on Grand Theft Auto 6, seen below. The listing quickly went viral, which eventually prompted Michael to delete the post, but what’s on the internet stays forever:
Since it’s been removed, in addition to no official confirmation from Rockstar themselves, we do have to put in our usual disclaimer: Take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt. Human error is always a factor, as well as good ‘ol fashioned photoshop, and while this image is exciting – it does not equate to an official reveal.
In other leaky goodness regarding the future of Grand Theft Auto, a recent posting from an alleged EU dev mentioned that the next GTA would be a PlayStation 5 launch title set for 2020. According to the leak, the PS5 will supposedly release in March of next year, with GTA 6 launching in November, though they mentioned that those dates are not finalized. It’s important to note that this is an anonymous tip and that anyone can claim to be a developer, so take all information in this report also with the metaphorical grain of salt.
