Could we finally be getting the beloved God of War PS4 game on PC? If game director Cory Barlog got everything he wanted (and for that, yes please!), then yes, it could be a reality. Unfortunately, that’s not always how things work but that’s not going to stop of us from keeping hope alive.
With the news that the very popularized Death Stranding PS4-exclusive would be arriving on PC next year, and Red Dead Redemption 2 coming this month, the PC Master Race community is giddy with what other possibilities are out there. With God of War shattering records upon release with its incredible story and combat, it’s safe to say that this port idea would be among the topmost coveted, and that’s something that the game’s director would like to see himself.
You know, I would love that. It is, sadly, a decision far above my paygrade. As is proven on a daily basis, I am no Kojima.

On Twitter following the Death Stranding PC reveal, Barlog was asked if non-exclusivity matters. He mentioned that it doesn’t “in the least” and then went on to say in response to a God of War jump: “You know, I would love that. It is, sadly, a decision far above my paygrade. As is proven on a daily basis, I am no Kojima.”
Though the post was made in jest – which is common and definitely a reason I suggest following him on Twitter, dude is hilarious – it is nice to see so many big names in the industry talking about non-exclusivity. With the next generation on the horizon, PlayStation has already bent on a few of their strict “no” policies – including crossplay – so who is to say that they might listen to this as well?
We can dream, Harold.
Alas, for now, God of War remains a PlayStation 4 exclusive and one that you should absolutely play if you haven’t already. But the God of War PC port banter does beg a good question: If you could have any exclusive title ported over to another platform, what would it be and why? Hit us up over on Twitter @PrimaGames with your answers! We’d love to hear them!
