“Vegas is up and running. It is not a ghost town. It still exists and thrives,” Hines said in an interview with USA Today (via VG247).
“There are casinos, and you can go down onto the Strip. It will have a very different feel from that standpoint.”
The game boasts no direct connection to the events of Fallout 3, though of course will have a few mentions of what happened there, but the character is entirely original.
The game, unlike Fallout 3, starts outside of a vault. As mentioned before, the protagonist is a courier, hijacked and left presumed dead before being rescued by a robot. “Part of the story is finding out what you had and what they took.”
