With the launch of Nuketown ‘84 in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War comes the return of the map’s collectible Easter Egg. While Nuketown ‘84 has been described as a sister site (Site B) to the original Nuketown map, the Easter Egg remains the same.
If you’re uncertain how to unlock this particular Easter Egg, we’ve got you covered with a quick guide explaining how to get the Nuketown ‘84 Easter Egg in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War!
How to Get the Nuketown ‘84 Easter Egg in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
To get the Nuketown ‘84 Easter Egg in Call of Duty: Black Cops Cold War, you’ll need to shoot the heads off every mannequin on the map in 60 seconds or under. Go over the time limit and you’ll have to restart and try again.
Trying to collect this Easter Egg during an online match isn’t impossible per se, but it’s not recommended as having to fend off enemy players makes the process unnecessarily difficult and frustrating.
We personally recommend that you create a custom offline match as this can help you complete the Nuketown ‘84 Easter Egg with little to no interference.
To create a custom match you’ll need to make your way over to the Black Ops Cold War lobby, look for “Custom Games” towards the bottom left corner of your screen, then use “Edit Game Rules” and “Settings” to customize your match to suit your needs.
It’s fun to play around with, even when you’re not trying to collect an Easter Egg in the Nuketown ‘84 map. As noted above, all you need to do is go around the Nuketown ‘84 map and shoot the heads off every single mannequin in 60 seconds or under.
If you miss a mannequin, you’ll have to restart. If you go over the time limit, you’ll have to restart.
You’ll know when you’ve done this successfully as you’ll unlock the Easter Egg which consists of a retro filter that makes the map look like an 80s synth video (it’s really fun to explore the map with this filter in place) and you’ll also unlock a secret synth wave soundtrack.
It’s pretty rad and is a better reward than some of the other Nuketown Easter Eggs found in previous Black Ops games. At least, in our opinion.
