The workaround here for Xbox will be using the web browser rather than an  Xbox app. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s excellent that Xbox is working to make sure everyone can enjoy all of the benefits of their subscription.

Having a sizeable rotating catalog of games to play through on your PC, Xbox, and now streaming to your phone is an excellent addition for anyone who enjoys playing games. This mobile streaming will come at no additional cost to players. Whether you sign up now, later, or are already signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you’ll get this mobile streaming.

If you have an android phone or tablet, you can already stream to your mobile devices, just IOS is currently unavailable.

You can read the official statement from Xbox Wire

“In Spring 2021, we will take the next step in our journey to reach more players around the world by making cloud gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate available on Windows PCs through the Xbox app and browser, and iOS devices through mobile web browser. By adding over a billion devices as a path to playing in the Xbox ecosystem, we envision a seamless experience for all types of players; whether it’s playing Minecraft Dungeons with your Xbox friends using touch controls on an iPhone, or jumping into a Destiny 2: Beyond Light strike on a Surface Pro when you have a break between meetings.”
