Best Build For Eldegoss: How to Play Eldegoss In Pokemon Unite
Eldegoss is a support role in Pokemon Unite which means you won’t be going for high damage or even a lot of kills. Your job is to support your other teammates in your lane.
Eldegoss’ passive ability Cotton Down, is a huge part of what makes it such a great support Pokemon.
Moveset
Cotton Down: Damage an opponent and decrease its movement speed for a short time after you receive a certain amount of damage. Eldegoss also recovers some HP and its movement speed is increased for a short time.
This allows you to take some hits and allow your teammates to come in for a quick kill on a Pokemon and can be used to your advantage in almost every situation.
Its starting abilities are Leafage and Synthesis. Picking Leafage first will help you deal out some extra damage to wild Pokemon and gain a few early levels before picking up Synthesis. Synthesis is a great quick heal if you need to stay in your lane a little longer and don’t want to back out of a fight.
At level five you’ll have an option to choose between pollen Puff or Leaf Tornado, which will replace your Leafage move.
Pollen Puff: Throw a pollen puff that attaches to a Pokemon. This puff restores HP for allies and deals damage to enemies.
Leaf Tornado: Attack with a leafy tornado, while increasing ally movement speed for a short time.
We recommend Pollen Puff here as it gives you another heal for your teammates as well as provides a small damage output. Remember when you take damage you’ll dish some out as well so dealing damage is not your priority in your moveset.
Your next choice will be at level six where you will have to choose between either Cotton Guard or Cotton Spore, which will replace your Synthesis ability.
Cotton Guard: Protects the user and nearby ally Pokemon with cotton. The cotton absorbs damage, and when the move ends, the cotton restores some HP.
Cotton Spore: Gathers spores around the user, increasing movement speed while this move is in effect. The spores burst after a short time dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect, throwing them, and decreasing their movement speed for a short time.
We recommend you take Cotton Guard in this case because protecting your allies and restoring HP will keep you in the battle.
Eldegoss’ Unite Move Cotton Cloud Crash is a get out of jail free card.
Cotton Cloud Crash: Has the user float into the air and become invincible. If used again, has the user pound the ground, attacking and shoving opposing Pokemon and restoring HP to ally Pokemon in an area of effect.
This is great to use as either an escape or a way to enter a team fight and heal your team giving them the health advantage.
Items
There are quite a few different items to give Eldegoss that would help put it above the rest. Here’s a list of what we recommend for your Eldegoss build.
Exp. Share: While the Pokemon has the fewest EXP. Points on its team it gains 2 Exp Points per second. However, it will no longer receive shared Exp. Points when its teammates defeat wild Pokemon.
Float Stone: Increases movement speed by 15% when the Pokemon is not in combat
Aeos Cookie: When the Pokemon scores a goal, its max HP increases by 100.
