This morning, Co-Founder of Rocksteady Studios Sefton Hill announced the delay of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The announcement came from his own Twitter account stating
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League delayed to Spring 2023
“We’ve made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience.”
Earlier this year it was reported that the game was set to be delayed, and now here we are. We haven’t seen a ton from this game outside of its initial release trailer and a gameplay trailer showcased at The Game Awards 2021. It’s not entirely surprising that Suicide Squad is being delayed as developers still are working through the COVD-19 pandemic.
If you’re looking for something to scratch that superhero itch while you wait for 2023, WB announced that Gotham Knights will be released on October 25, 2022. It seems like a good idea for WB to spread out its releases between two years instead of dropping both of its biggest games a few months apart.
