What is the MW2 Weapon XP Glitch?

The MW2 Weapon XP glitch allows players to earn far more experience than normal for their weapons. You can level up your weapon one rank in about 60 seconds. Doing this repeatedly is the fastest way to level your weapons in MW2 right now.

Load into the Defender map and either have your teammate leave the match or ask them to leave so you are solo, then head straight over to the area where you pick up your weapons. Pick up a self-revive and down yourself with a grenade. Tap the self-revive just a bit, but not entirely. Quickly crawl over to the weapon rack and pick up as many weapons as possible. You will carry all the weapons you’ve picked up when you revive yourself.

Now go to the blue and white building to your left. Zipline up the left side of the building and walk onto the catwalk around the dome part of the building. Walk around the left side and go prone against the wall. Here’s a video to show you the positioning.

Now AFK for an hour and a half, and your weapons will be max level. The weapon you’re holding at the end of the game will receive the most experience. You can switch the weapons through the match if you want more XP on certain weapons.

If you’ve hit level 55, not all of your experience will show up in the after-match report, but it will still be there. You have to check in only our weapons themselves.
