You’ll also find plenty of Pokemon that fly in the sky and swim in the water. Tadbulb is also interesting since, although it isn’t rare, it spawns in particular spots. If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to discover where to find and catch Tadbulb in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Where to Find and Catch Tadbulb in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Tadbulb resides exclusively along riverbanks and wetlands throughout the map. Immediately after leaving Mesagoza for the first time, you can start wandering along the nearby bodies of water to begin spotting these little guys. You can also venture through South Province’s Area Four, East Province’s Areas Two and Three, and Glaseado Mountain. Nearly any location with at least one body of water will likely have some Tadbulbs floating around.
One important point to note is how to access these Pokemon. Since you can’t jump into the water and battle Tadbulb like a regular ground enemy, you’ll have to resort to two other options. You can use ZL and ZR to aim and throw a Pokeball toward the Tadbulb or use Koraidon/Miraidon to swim. However, the second option requires you to progress far enough into the story to unlock swimming. Either option will bring you into a regular Pokemon battle where you can toss out a Pokeball and catch your Tadbulb!

Tadbulb’s Evolution in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Tadbulb evolves into Bellibolt after using a Thunder Stone on the Pokemon. After completing three Gym Leader battles, you can get Thunder Stones from Delibird Presents in Mesagoza, Levincia and Cascarrafa. You can also rarely encounter Bellibolt in the wild, particularly in East Province’s Area Two, West Province’s Area Two and Glaseado Mountain, among other locations. In other words, many spots that spawn Tadbulb may also have a Bellibolt or two wandering around.
