NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. took E3 2014 by storm, showing off Mortal Kombat X in considerably more detail than what many expected. We have plenty of in-depth coverage on the way, including closer looks at each of the six playable characters in the demo, but for now, we compiled a list of everything you need to know about the Mortal Kombat X demo.
- The official title is Mortal Kombat X, not 10.
- There are three playable stages: Snow Fortress, Outworld Marketplace, and Cove.
- There were 24 character slots in the E3 demo.
- MKX will have the most new characters out of any Mortal Kombat to date.
- The Final boss is a returning character that may surprise some people.

- There will be new meter mechanics in addition to Enhanced Special Moves (EX Moves), Breakers and X-Ray Moves.
- Interactables return from Injustice, but they can now be blocked (unlike Injustice).
- Brutalities may be added in the future.
- There are five “finishing move” slots in the move list for each character (this may include stage finishers and other non-Fatality finishing moves).
- Frame data will be present in each character’s move list.
