Fierce actor Danny Trejo invited Animal Crossing: New Horizons players to play with him and fans lost their minds. When Trejo asks you to do something, you do it, so if he wants us to play Animal Crossing, then gosh darnit that is a cross we are willing to bear.
Hot on the heels of Elijah Woods’ Animal Crossing: New Horizons escapades and even Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk getting in on the action, Trejo took to Twitter to invite fans to help make island life even more fun. He put it all out there asking who wants a Dodo code because “this is more fun with pals.” Predictably, fans went absolutely nuts.

The world is wild, man. Celebrities are going ham on this game like the rest of us and for good reason! New Horizons launched right at the cusp of a world-wide quarantine due to COVID-19, giving people all over the globe respite from an ongoing stressful and uncertain situation. This game offers peace, a sense of purpose, and a continuation of a journey that many have fallen in love with through the years. With celebrities themselves also stuck in quarantine, it seems like the barrier between them and us “regular folks” is shrinking and we’re all just coming together in support and that’s really beautiful.
Between this and Gary Whitta this week, Animal Crossing: New Horizons be poppin’. We can’t wait to see who else pops up with that Tom Nook devotion.
