If anybody knows how to play with our Dragon Age-loving hearts, it’s Mark Darrah. The Dragon Age executive producer is back at it again with the teasing, taking to Twitter to torment fans all around the globe. He is known for doing this from time to time, but without any sort of official details about Dragon Age 4, its release, or what to expect outside of a small teaser from 2018, the teasing does not get any easier to deal with.
Following a recent tweet that blew up on Twitter, almost instantly becoming a meme, many people flooded to the social media platform to get a few laughs in. This is likely why you saw many tweets recently that stated “Dear men, what is preventing you from looking like this” and was accompanied by an image. Darrah, however, took this as an opportunity to play with our emotions, sending not just one, but two tweets that are certainly teasing Dragon Age 4.

The first tweet that Darrah sent out is of the red dread wolf and rook book that first appeared back in 2016 when Darrah himself tweeted it out. The image is often associated with the teasing of Dragon Age 4, so whenever the executive producer sends the image out into the world, hearts begin to skip around a bit.

The second tweet sent out by Darrah features a gif of a glowy-eyed Solas along with the meme caption, which sparked a conversation all on its own. Yeah, Solas isn’t exactly the most upstanding egg-headed elf, and there are a bounty of players looking to get their hands on him whenever Dragon Age 4 arrives, but to each their own. Give the events that transpired in Dragon Age: Inquisition, looking like Solas may not be the best option to go with.

At this point in time, we still don’t know much about Dragon Age 4. The last time we received any sort of official word about the highly anticipated title was back in 2018 at The Game Awards. We know that Solas is coming back and given the nature of Inquisition’s Trespasser ending and the corresponding comics, it’s clear that the next game in this franchise will be rooted in Tevinter; home of the blood mages and the place that gave us the amazing Fenris (/swoon). With a summer of reveals ahead, it’s unknown if Dragon Age 4 will be among them. Is Darrah teasing a possible trailer that could be inbound, or is he just being the troll that he loves to be on Twitter? Only time will tell.
