Whoever told you that screaming wouldn’t land you your dream job is totally lying because that’s exactly what will land you this Stronghold: Warlords gig. Firefly Studios is looking to cast some scream-worthy voice actors for their upcoming castle simulator and they are looking for your help in being as loud and, frankly, terrifying as possible.
Firefly Studios is busy busy busy creating an upcoming castle simulator called Stronghold: Warlords, an RTS that shows a lot of promise for those looking for this particular genre of game. That being said, COVID-19 has completely limited how VO is sourced so this team is making the best of the situation by getting fans involved for a chance to get their start in video game voice acting. As long as you like screaming.
This isn’t the first time this studio has allowed fans a chance to be a part of the process! Firefly has previously recruited the passionate gaming community when looking for creative inspiration behind weapon, armor, and other game design aspects. Now they looking less for aesthetic help and more for some gnarly howls as gamers are challenged to scream, grunt, holler, and wail to their heart’s content.
“These are troubling times. People are concerned about their health, loved ones and jobs” said Robert Euvino, Composer and Sound Designer on Stronghold: Warlords. “It got me thinking, this might be a good opportunity to have a little bit of fun with fans of the game and include them in a manner which we’ve never really tried before.”

As for the game itself, possibly with your screams included, Stronghold: Warlords is making its Steam PC debut later this year, though an exact release date isn’t set at this time.
