The Steam Spring Sale is now live, and there are plenty of deals worth your time and money. While this year’s sale is slightly shorter compared to previous iterations, plenty of games have big discounts. Here are the five best options to consider if your budget is $10 or lower.
Best Under $10 Picks in the Steam Spring Sale 2024
Riders Republic
Discounted Price: $9.99 (82%)
If you’re a fan of extreme sports or racing games, Riders Republic is a perfect adventure. There are plenty of different ways to race, ranging from single-player to co-op with others. Unlike typical racing sims, the vehicle modes are pretty unique (how often can you race on a snowboard or wingsuit?).
There are many exciting racing events and beautiful locations to enjoy as you compete to cross the finish line. Ubisoft’s Steam Spring Sale discount is the largest they’ve ever offered.
It Takes Two
Discounted Price: $9.99 (75%)
Winner of multiple awards in the past, It Takes Two is a gorgeous two-player co-op adventure that you can enjoy with a friend or loved one. The game is typically designed to play as a couple, thanks to the split-screen co-op. You and your friend play as Cody and May, who go on an adventure of a lifetime. Together, you must solve different puzzles and survive numerous dangers to reach your goal.
It Takes Two also offers the Friend’s Pass, which allows you to invite your friend for free. With the steep discount, it’s a great deal.
Fallout 76
Discounted Price: $9.99 (75%)
Fallout 76 has witnessed it all as a video game, especially when you consider its low success compared to Fallout 4’s. There’s no debate that Bethesda’s decision to take the MMO route didn’t go as planned. However, constant updates, new content, and post-launch offers have ensured that Fallout 76 has reached a respectable position.
There are certain areas where the game still might not match your expectations. However, Fallout 76 in 2024 is significantly better and offers a lot more content. The discounted price, thanks to the Steam Spring Sale, certainly makes it a good bargain if you like post-apocalyptic shooters.
Gears 5
Discounted Price: $9.99 (75%)
I didn’t play a single Gears title until I got an Xbox, and Gears 5 was the first one I tried (I should have started with an older one). While I enjoyed the title as part of the Xbox Game Pass offering, Gears 5, at a discounted price, is a no-brainer. It has everything you can expect from a hardcore action shooter: guns, gore, and plenty of enemies to chop down.
Do note that you could miss some of the key story links if you start directly from Gears 5. However, you can always watch a recap story on YouTube. There’s also the Hivebusters DLC, which offers bonus gameplay content as well.
Monster Hunter: World
Discounted Price: $9.89 (67%)
The discount percentage might not be as much as some of the other entries, but don’t sleep on Monster Hunter: World (if you want to get any upgraded edition, you’ll have to stretch your wallet). However, the base game has enough content to last you a while. While the core game revolves around killing different monsters, you’ll be earning new rewards from different quests.
Moreover, slaying the monsters will reward you with various items that allow you to craft even stronger weapons to kill even bigger monsters. You can enjoy all content alone, or join co-op sessions with your friends. While the Monster Hunter series can be slightly tricky to get into, the Steam Spring Sale provides you with the perfect opportunity.
