With Call of Duty: Ghosts set to storm the gaming world tomorrow, fans everywhere are hyped to get back into Activision’s first-person shooting franchise. To help celebrate its evolution, the publisher released a series of facts surrounding the series – some of which may surprise you.
First off, every day, gamers around the world play over 1900 combined years of Call of Duty. That means if one gamer had gotten started on the series in that time frame, they would’ve begun back in 112 AD.
Next up, the series has seen 1.9 quadrillion respawns in Call of Duty multiplayer collectively. That means the number of respawns in Call of Duty multiplayer is 266,816 times the Earth’s current population of seven billion.
813 million UAV’s have been shot down in Call of Duty multiplayer, and with each drone costing $4.3 million dollars each, that brings an impressive total of $3.4 quadrillion dollars in damage – 5,422 times what the Federal spending budget is right now.
Finally, more than 18 billion multiplayer matches have been played, a number that continues to grow daily – and will do so with Call of Duty: Ghosts once it releases tomorrow. Hey, we’ll be online for sure.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
