Publisher Focus Home Interactive and former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. developers Vostok Games have unveiled Fear The Wolves, a post-apocalyptic Battle Royale FPS releasing in 2018. Set in an irradiated Chernobyl, Fear The Wolves drops players into an unforgiving landscape where they must brave environmental hazards and survive long enough to become the last player standing.
While the game touts a familiar formula, the developers at Vostok Games promise a new, original experience in Fear The Wolves. The game features a classic Battle Royale mode, where 100 players must endure the hostile wastelands of Chernobyl and fight to become the sole survivor, as well as a second game mode that will reportedly bring a “fierce new twist” to the FPS genre.
In Fear The Wolves, mutated creatures and dynamic weather systems force players to and change their tactics on the fly. The best survivors in Fear The Wolves will know how to adapt to their surroundings to overcome the challenges that lay ahead.
Fear The Wolves was unveiled during the What’s Next de Focus press event this week in Paris, France. Early Access for Fear The Wolves will begin later this year, with the full release planned for PC and consoles in 2018.
