Treyarch has confirmed that Alcatraz is coming back to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, Blackout, with new improvements to make the beloved map even better.
The studio confirmed the news over on Twitter when one fan asked when they could expect its arrival. Treyarch responded, “Alcatraz is scheduled to return on Tuesday, May 7th with some new improvements! Bounty Hunter is this week’s Featured Playlist until then.”
It’s easy to see why so many are excited to see the return of Alcatraz. The new map is perfect for close-quarters combat in the setting of Battle Royale. Not only that, but PlayStation 4 players have also been enjoying Operation Spectre Rising, making the arrival even more exciting for those itching for even more to do in the latest Call of Duty title.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with Alcatraz making its grand re-debut on May 7th.
