There is no denying that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games in recent memory, as countless players are excited to jump into the action of the new dystopian set first-person shooter. However, a recent revelation regarding how much the first-person perspective plays a part in players’ Cyberpunk 2077 experience has left some fans disgruntled.
Cyberpunk 2077 will offer an in-depth character creation feature where players will be able to customize their character on a whole array of areas. With this extensive character customization being available, many players felt that they would see a good amount of character in cutscenes throughout the story of the title. Unfortunately for these fans, Cyberpunk 2077 Global Community Lead Marcin Momot took to Twitter to state that Cyberpunk 2077 will be “100%” first-person.
1/2 Achieving full immersion in an FPP game is extremely important and the decision made by the team to go 100% first person in @CyberpunkGame is something that will benefit it greatly from gameplay and story-telling perspectives.

Momot went on to state that players will be able to see their character in a variety of other ways like in the inventory screen or some occasional cutscenes. It was not expanded upon how exactly a player’s character will appear in these occasional cutscenes.
2/2 That said, players will still be able to see their characters in the inventory screen, during driving sequences, in mirrors and, very occasionally, in some of the cut-scenes.

This public statement from Marcin Momot came in response to community reaction from the official Twitter account for Cyberpunk 2077 telling a player in a direct message that all cutscenes in the game will be seen in a first-person perspective, according to a report by PCGamer.
With the character customization having been a significant selling point of Cyberpunk 2077, the confirmation that the title will be exclusively first-person has left a sour taste in many players mouths.
