While some believe virtual reality (VR) is the future of media, there are others who are still on the fence. Many of the supporters of the new media platform believe that once someone tries VR, it’s hard to go back to traditional media. However, the entry barrier for VR is quite high given the fact that you need a high-end PC plus several hundred dollars more for the VR equipment. Sony is changing that by allowing existing PlayStation 4 owners to pick up PSVR for $399 on October 13.
If you’re looking to get your hands on PSVR before the launch date, you’re in luck. Sony has partnered with GameStop and Best Buy to offer PSVR demo units. You can find a complete list of locations to see just how close a PSVR demo unit may be. With the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, PSVR and more, virtual reality isn’t going anywhere, so do what you can to at least try it out.
