If you’ve had your eye on Bungie’s hit sci-fi shooter series, Destiny, then chances are you’ve at least at some point thought about picking it up. If for some reason you haven’t bit that bullet just yet, then Bungie could just have the answer that you have been looking for, as the second game in the series now has a fully supported trial mode, which will give players a good taste of what to expect out of the full game.
The Destiny 2 trial is now available on all consoles, including PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The trial will give players the chance to explore the European Dead Zone on Earth, as well as the remains of humanity’s outpost on Titan, Saturn’s moon. Alongside the nice taste of the game’s single player campaign, trial players will also be able to compete in the game’s PvP matches, the Crucible, by way of a Quickplay playlist.
The only limits here are the fact that players will only be able to reach up to level 7, however they’ll be able to join clans, and any progress made in the trial version of the game will transfer over to the full game if and when they choose to pick it up. Destiny 2 might not seem like the best game for a trial version, considering that the game is so focused on shooting and looting, but the trial does offer a good assortment of the game’s different activities, and should give players a solid idea of what to expect. Bungie even created a trailer for the trial, so check that out before you dive in!
