Devil May Cry 5 Gets Release Date and a New Trailer

The latest chapter in the iconic Devil May Cry series is set to carve its way into stores in 2019.

Originally announced back at E3 of 2018, Devil May Cry 5 looks to be taking the iconic demon hunter series in a nice direction. Today, during Microsoft’s Inside Xbox segment at Gamescom 2018, Capcom released a new trailer for the upcoming game, and even dropped information about when fans can expect to pick up the game. Much like the original trailer, the latest one showcases Nero making use of new weapons as he fights back the armies of hell. The game will release for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 9, 2019.

You can check out the trailer below, which showcases Nero making use of the new Devil Break arms that Nico has made for him. You can also see him wielding his powerful ‘Red Queen’ sword alongside the different Devil Breaker arms, which should make for a nice change in combat in the newest installment of the series. Of course, it wouldn’t be Devil May Cry without a glimpse of Dante, and you can even catch him taking down several demons using his motorcycle at the end of the new trailer.

According to a press release sent out by Capcom, “The threat of demonic power has returned to menace the world once again in Devil May Cry 5. The invasion begins when the seeds of a “demon tree” take root in Red Grave City.”
