While we know that Sony is skipping out on E3 this year once more as they prepare for the next generation with the PlayStation 5, the E3 2020 exhibitor list has leaked showcasing who will be at the event this year and what that means for future announcements.
The E3 2020 exhibitor list may seem sh ort, but it’s still early on in the year. That being said, here are the names confirmed to be at this year’s showcase:
- Activision Publishing, Inc.
- Amazon Game Studios
- BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.
- Bethesda
- Capcom USA, Inc.
- Epic Games Inc.
- Kalypso Media Group
- NCSOFT
- RDS Industries Inc.
- SEGA
- Square Enix, Inc.
- Take-Two
- TENCENT
- THQ Nordic
- Ubisoft Entertainment SA
- UnnamedVR by Paracosma
- Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment
- XSEED Games
Sony and Nintendo are off doing their own thing, as is becoming the norm, while EA Play will be running its usual showcase off grounds as well. Again, this list is what has been confirmed so far, which means more names are likely to be added in the coming months. A good example of this is that Microsoft is left off of the above list though Xboss Phil Spencer has already stated numerous times that they will be back and bigger than ever.
Ever since E3 opened to the public, the general reaction from the industry side of the spectrum has seen a massive decline in the showcase’s integrity and what it has to offer. Pair that with the massive leak that put all media and influencers in danger when their full names, addresses, and other personal information was leaked, and we’ve got a very interesting predicament. The ESA has yet to issue an apology that the industry felt was genuine, so it will be very intriguing to see how E3 2020 pans out in terms of attendance and the quality of work it spawns.
