If you’ve been eager to jump into Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, you’re not alone. Last season brought the heat and the latest Battle Pass and vibe are even more astounding than ever — but there’s a bit of a problem for players ready to dive in.
It appears that something went wrong during their initial bit of downtime, and it has been extended by at least eight hours at this point. There is a chance that things could be up and running a bit sooner than expected, but it may be more major than originally anticipated. Since the theme for Chapter 5 Season 2 is Greek Myths, maybe Hades is messing with their server capacity and making the drop of this chapter more difficult than it needs to be.
While not expected, it’s unclear if the latest season will be extended by the amount of downtime or anything of the sort, but for now, fans can’t even log into Fortnite and play any of the modes available to them. It isn’t very pleasant for sure, but Epic has been cooking so far with this new season so I’m happy to wait it out and see what surprises are waiting for me when the downtime finally comes to a close.
The latest season looks to be one of the most interesting in recent years, bringing the Greek Gods to life within the Battle Royale. Alongside the addition of these mythical beings, we’ll also see a few new collaborations dropping into the new map — Avatar: The Last Airbender being one of the most sought after for fans of the animated series.
It’s never fun when you can’t dive into your favorite game, but accidents happen. Fortnite is a massive game so it’s easy to understand when something like this goes on, but let’s hope that this is the last time that they face the wraith of the Gods during this season.
