The third expansion to the game’s multiplayer will be available as a free download on July 17th. PC and PlayStation 3 owners need to hold out a little longer.

The news arrives via Microsoft’s Larry Major Nelson Hyrb. BioWare hasn’t yet spoken on the matter/

A product listing was spotted last week (thanks Eurogamer/Reddit) mentioned three new maps and six new classes.

“Mass Effect 3: Earth: The fighting is fiercest when it’s your home at stake!” the description read. “Mass Effect 3: Earth adds mods, gear, and new maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London. It features three new weapons: Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol and Typhoon light machine gun. Six new human N7 classes are also available: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow and Fury!”

There’s likely to be more information at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. We’re also expecting some info on single-player DLC. Watch this space.
