Halo 3 will be released in North America on 25th September, Bungie and Microsoft have revealed.

The news arrives as access to eagerly-awaited Halo 3 multiplayer beta is granted on Xbox Live.
Microsoft have released a press statement on the matter:
“Halo 3 is much more than a videogame release: it’s the biggest entertainment event of the year,” Peter Moore, corporate Vice Prez at Microsoft’s game business, stated
“On September 25 we intend to deliver a finale that will go down in entertainment history and leave people around the world with an experience that will be shared and enjoyed for years to come.”
Microsoft also gave word of a special Halo 3 Zune player with Halo 3 videos, soundtracks, trailers and art.
