Blackout is the new battle royale mode coming with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. There’s a good bit of information to digest when it comes to this new mode, and one of the biggest questions we’ve seen asked around is how big is the map in Blackout? Here’s what we know so far.
How Big is the Map in Blackout?
While we don’t have a definitive measurement, during the announcement for Black Ops 4 today, Activision was clear to point out that Blackout’s map will be 1500 times the size of Nuketown—one of the most iconic maps in Black Ops history.
On top of being the largest map that they’ll have ever made for the series, Treyarch also plans to include various pieces and areas from other maps in the map for Blackout. This will give it an insane amount of diversity that should help the game mode standout against other battle royale shooters. Their main goal with Blackout was to create an intense battle royale experience the ‘Black Ops way’ and by the sound of things, that’s exactly what fans can expect.
