How did they not think of this before? Is there anyone who wouldn’t want to play as Dragon Ball Z characters in Fortnite – or at least just Goku? We already saw with Spider-Man that adding new mechanics is not unusual for Epic Games in their mega-popular battle royale. Imagine flying as Goku across the island, doing energy blasts, going SSJ2, and whatnot. However, is this Fortnite x DBZ collaboration for real?

Are Dragon Ball Z Characters Coming to Fortnite?
Here’s what we know right now – in patch 21.20, there seems to be one item that definitely looks like it fell straight out of Dragon Ball Z. The new Creative Stamina Prop in this update appears to have the Capsule Corp logo on it, well known to all DBZ fans. Is this just an easter egg or a hint of things to come? We’re not sure, but it definitely kickstarted many discussions on the topic, especially with fans that have been asking for this collaboration for a very long time.
As you can see in the Twitter posts above, this news comes from well-known leaker, HYPEX, who had already announced many things that were later added to Fortnite, giving the rumor a little more weight.
When Will Goku be Added to Fortnite?
If this Fortnite x DBZ collaboration turns out to be real, we can expect it to come with Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, possibly in the fall this year, or maybe even as an earlier update in August as a tie-in to the premiere of the new Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, but who knows? We will have to wait for official confirmation of this long-requested crossover.
